Hello. My name is Steve. I have been researching what happened to my uncle, SSGT Stanley M. Rovinsky during WWII. He was with the 13th AF, 42 BG, 70th BS. Stanley was lost on a mission to Rabaul on January 14, 1944.
Over the past two years I have compiled quite a list of information as to the circumstances of this flight. I also recently obtained a photograph of Stanley from his local hometown newspaper from Microfiche at the Scranton, PA public library about his MIA status.
My advice to those looking for information is to be patient and do not give up. I am still trying to contact surviving family members of the crew of this flight or anyone who may have served with Stanley in the Pacific.
