Hi, I'm Chad Brown, and I'm an alcoholic (whoops)

Anyway, I've been popping around here for the last couple of years, it's a neat site. I'm 32, married, have one beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter. I've been interested in WW2, and specifically the Pacific theater, for as long as I can remember. I do have one family connection to that theater, my late great uncle, who served in the 6th Army, 497th auto gun battalion, on New Guinea, Guadalacanal, the Phillipines, and garrison duty in Japan. He passed away earlier this past year.

I try to attend whatever WW2 related events that we have around here, usually air shows..the big one at the Willow Run airport near Detroit, Michigan is a must see, and I've talked to a few Aussies and Kiwis there.

I'm also a licensed amateur radio operator..going to be upgrading my license soon so I can talk on HF to all the radio folks in Australia on 20 meters and such.

Anyway, just saw this thread, and figured the more non-spam posts, the better.
