Palau has good wreck diving but most have been salvaged in the 1950's. Not like Truk. Some good aircraft wrecks are off Koror and the latest find (2000) was a minesweeper that sank after hitting a mine off Anguar. Unfort. it is very deep, beyond safe scuba limits but the vis, I hear, is unbelievable...

Reading "Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors" by Hornfischer. Excellent read. Also reading "Destroyer Captain" and "Cutthroats" (The adventures of a Sherman tank driver) by Robert Dick.

Hi, I am also researching Japanese 75mm guns, although more interested in the Type 96. I have excellent photos of a Type 94 taken at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico VA.
