In case you are not aware of it, there will be VE Day flyover in DC on May 8th.
45 planes (the most since the end of the war) will be flying over the WW2 Memorial.
I am taking 4-5 of my 8 children.
The next day (Saturday), the planes will be on display at various airports.

I have found sources that the P61 that went down October 18, 1944 was actually found and investigated after war. My Great Uncle, Harold Ozmun, was the radarman onboard. I have heard the Vogelkop Peninsula, but have not really found any hard evidence. Could somebody point me to whom in the Army Air F...
