Location
Gusap Airfield is located in the Ramu / Markam valley, North west of Nadzab,in a line between Nadzab and Wewak. Today it is a easy 2 hour drive on a tarsealed road from Nadzab. During WWII however it initially took 2 weeks for the first ground party from Nadzab to reach the site to commence construction.
