Naming Honor
Named for the Lt. Col. Harold Bauer, C.O. of VMF-212, killed in action at Guadalcanal on November 14th 1942. Bauer was credited with 11 confirmed aircraft shoot downs and also was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
