Location
Located on Umnak Island. Also known as 'Fort Glenn' or 'Umnak'.

Construction
After Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, this airfield was established as a tactical air base to support Ft. Mears Naval Base in Dutch Harbor Alaska.

Wartime History
During the Japanese attack on Dutch Harbor on June 3, 1942, Umnak is notified, but gets the message too late due to a communication failure.
