Located at Buka Passage off the southern end of Buka Island, Sohano Island and Bonis.

Occupied by the Japanese on March 9, 1942. Used as a base area and repair facility, and the channel a seaplane landing area, with moorings around Sohano Island.

Disused since the war.
There
is no trace of this facility. A peir that small
boats use to this day might be associated with this former
base.
