"My diary shows we skip bombed and strafed successfully the target: DODEN to APARRI on 5/21/1945. This may be the mission I recall a photo reporter being on board and taking a shot out of the cocpit and catching my profile. I think I saw this in a documentary after the war and thought I recognized my nose."
