    Akeno Airfield (Akenogahara) Mie Pref Japan

Location
Located near the coast in MIe Prefecture.

Construction
Single runway 4,950' x 2,640' was used as an Japanese Army Air Force and government landing field. This airfield had all facilities.

Wartime Usage
Used as a training field for Japanese Army Air Force.

In 1943, students also had the opportunity to fly three captured P-40s and even a P-51B Mustang. The P-51 carried "Evalina" on the nose (spelling unclear).
