Wartime History
This Thunderbolt crashed in the water
off Roku village, in Idlers Bay to the west of Port Moresby. The pilot was severaly wounded
in the crash, and rescued by locals, but died immediatly afterwards.
Wreckage
Over the decades, most of the wreck has been scrapped, only thr engine,
and larger peices still remain, in shallow water.

"I snorkeled over this wreck, the engine and propeller hub are still there,
as well as a few other bits of wreckage only."
