Built by Curtis in Buffalo, New York. Assigned U. S. Army serial number 43-24309. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia.

Wartime History
During May 1944 delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Kittyhawk A29-821. Reassembled by 1 Air Depot (1 AD). On June 19, 1944 assigned to 77 Squadron.

Mission History
On October 25, 1944 took off from Noemfoor Island on a bombing mission over Manokwari. Last seen entering cloud in the target area and failed to return.

Search
Postwar searches in the area by RAAF Searcher Team led by S/L Keith Rundle and Flight Lieutenant O'Shea found no information about the fate of this pilot.
