P-38L 44-24155 #112 Leading Formation of P-38's over Leyte

This photo was taken by an F-5 photo lightning in December 1944 with
Capt Fred Champlin flying #112. I went to Marathon, FL and interviewed
Eileen Champlin (Fred's wife) and he told her that he was leading
the flight that day and that was his plane that McGuire crashed in.
