Aircraft History Built by Kawasaki at Kagamigahara during February 1944. Uncoded serial number 866. Equipped with "Ostu" armament of 2 x 12.7mm fuselage; 2 x 12.7mm wings. Delivered to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) as a Type 3 Fighter / Ki-61-II Tony manufacture number 966. Wartime History Assigned to the 68th Hiko Sentai (68th Flying Regiment) or 78th Hiko Sentai (78th Flying Regiment). This aircraft was abandoned at Sentani Drome near Hollandia. Wreckage On April 24, 1944 this aircraft was captured and evaluated by Air Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU). Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
