Wreckage
This aircraft remained largely intact underwater.

A salvage attempt was made on this wreck in the early 1990's by Bruce Fenstermaker. The wreck was successfully floated with air bags closer to the pier off Biak. While awaiting additional salvage gear, a steal beam fell onto the aircraft while still underwater, crushing it and sinking it near the pier.
