Ki-44 Tojo Manufacture Number ?

JAAF
246th Sentai

Aircraft History
The aircraft had a dark green over light grey-greeen cammo and the tail symbol at the back is the initials of the pilot who flew it. If you notice the tail fin, there is a leading edge red marking. The aircraft shows signs of weathering as this aircraft saw previous action over China and Formosa before the unit was transferred to the Philippines in November 1944.

Wartime History
Captured at Clark Field. This, and another Tojo belonging to the 29th Sentai were captured intact at Clark. One of them was later repaired and was tested and evaluated by the Technical Allied Intelligence Unit (TAIU). Its paint was stripped down and was left in its natural metal finished and painted in US markings.
