Wartime History
Abandoned relatively intact at Clark Field, repaired by US Army ATIU.

Display
After the war, it was displayed on a post in front of base operations. It remained until the 1960s when for unknown reasons the base commander had it taken down and scrapped.

Don Patrie, USAF adds:
"n 1948, I saw a Ki-43. It remained there for years & years. In approx. 1969, I was there again. The Base Ops building had been rebuild & the Ki-43 was missing. Years later, I heard that a Base Commander had it destroyed."
