Wartime History
This aircraft was sunk on its mooring off Matupit Seaplane Base, off Matupit Island at Rabaul.

Wreckage
Sunken in shallow water and partially exposed depending on the tide. The wreckage includes the mid section of the fuselage, with the wings broken off to the sides. One engine is visible, and the tail is upside down behind the wreck. Reportedly, this wreckage is obscured by volcanic ash deposits from the 1994 eruption.
