Aircraft History
Built by Kawanishi Kokuki K. K. at Naruo. This flying boat was either model H6K4 or H6K5.
Wartime History
Reportedly sunk February 1, 1942 off Ebeye Island.
Wreckage
Located in 1965 on the lagoon
side of the island. Upside down in 80' ,
it shows
considerable strafing damage but the body is relatively intact. The
site is an undesirable dive due to raw sewage outlets nearby.
