Took from the Truk area (likely Moen
1, Param or Eten). Ditched into Truk Lagoon.
Wreckage
At one time 38 incendiary bombs were removed from the aircraft as
a precaution for divers. Reportedly, a saki and cognac
bottle was found under the pilot's seat. The large plane is relatively
free of marine growth. 7.7mm and 20mm guns, radios and boxes are
still inside the plane. Although it is illegal to remove artifacts from the wreck, some items have been removed over the years by divers.
