Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi at Nagoya No. 3 Works. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Assigned to the 4th Kokutai. Tail code F-32? (last digit unknown). A single horizontal white stripe was painted above the tail number. Likely, this aircraft was either G4M1 1450 or G4M1 5209. Wartime History This aircraft was destroyed at Lae Airfield and abandoned. During September 1943 captured by the Allies during September 1943. Wreckage included the tail section only. Wreckage During late September 1943, this aircraft was among the Japanese aircraft captured at Lae Airfield. This aircraft was one of three Tonys investigated 'pro forma' by Allied Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU) with manufacture number 183. No other markings were noted.
