Built by Mitsubishi at Nagoya during March 1943. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Assigned to the 702 Kōkūtai. Tail code U2-???.
Wartime History
This bomber was abandoned on Ballale Airfield. While parked, a bomb blast damaged the forward fuselage.
Wreckage
Remains in situ on Ballale Island. The forward fuselage badly damaged
by bomb blast. The right landing gear leg appears to only have been partially deployed or collapsed. The fuselage door is missing.
