Mission History
Departed Mascot Airfield near Sydney for a Special flight to Momote Airfield carrying freight for the Royal Navy. Flown with a RAAF crew, failed to arrive at Milne Bay. The aircraft was lost en route after departing Townsville for Milne Bay. Bad weather was later found to be the cause of its loss.
Wreckage
After the war, the wreckage was found by RAAF Searcher Team led by S/L Rundle near Samarai Island at Milne Bay.
Memorials
All crew members are buried at the Bomana War Cemetery, near Port Moresby.
