Several Beauforts are being used in a restoration at RAF
Hendon, in the United Kingdom
The sections exact identities are:
Stern - SF478 (20-7-43), A9-478
Rear Fuselage- RF557 (26-10-43), A9-559
Wing center section - CR591 (14-9-43)
Cockpit - FF559 (4-9-43), A9-557
Stern & Rear Fuselage
The stern is possibly from A9-478.
This serial was reported as being at Chino, and some Stern section
serials
match
the
RAAF serial. The rear fuselage is from A9-559.
Cockpit Section
The cockpit is
from A9-557, whose rear fuselage is
owned by the Australian
War Memorial, and is itself restored to static display, utilizing
parts from several other Beauforts.
