Aircraft History Built by Bristol. Assigned Royal Air Force (RAF) serial number T5070. Shipped overseas to Australia. Wartime History Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufigher Mark Ic serial number A19-50. On July 3, 1942 assigned to 2 Air Depot (2 AD). On October 26, 1942 assigned to No. 30 Squadron with code X. Nicknamed "Wendy Joy II". This Beaufigher was based at 5 Mile Drome (Wards) near Port Moresby. On April 12 ,1943 parked at 5 Mile Drome during a Japanese air raid destroyed by a direct bomb hit and "reduced to rubble" and totally destroyed aside from the tail section.
