Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Constructors Number 2139. Assigned to the US Army. Ferried overseas to Australia.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 43rd Bombardment Group, 403rd Bombardment Squadron during April 1943. Nicknamed "Flamin Mamie". Bomb markings indicated missions flown and silhouette of a ship, oil refinery and gun. On the tail was the last three digits of the serial number "062".

This B-24 flew at least 100 combat missions over New Guinea. On October 14, 1944 took off piloted by Albert C. Beyerlein on a bombing mission against oil refineries at Balikpapan. Afterwards, removed from combat duty as war weary. At the end of the war, abandoned with the gun turrets and engines removed at Nadzab Airfield. Scrapped during 1947.
