Crashed near the edge of present day Varirata National Park,
Wreckage
Wreckage remains in a small
creek know to locals as 'Zero Creek'. Present are the engine and other
pieces of wreckage.
John Douglas visited the site:
"After a day of bushwalking, i followup up this story on 'Zero Creek' and
found the engine and a twisted 7.7mm machine gun at the site."
